Our True Nature
Our True Nature
Vedic Meditation doesn’t just provide us with a systematic way of releasing stress from the physiology. It gives us a twice daily reminder of our true nature.
When we allow the mind to settle to its least excited state of awareness, a state beyond thoughts, we make contact with bliss and we realise we are much more than our thoughts and emotions and we are not bound by the physical body. We experience ourselves as oneness. Pure consciousness, from which all potentiality arises. In Quantum Mechanics, it is called the unified field.
As a result, a sense of deep inner contentedness arises and the realisation dawns that fulfilment and happiness is in fact inside and a tangible baseline experience anyone can grasp.
No longer do we go searching for happiness outside of ourselves in the form of love, money or knowledge because we understand that happiness and fulfilment is our true nature - our baseline.
And the best part is that having this experience alone isn’t actually why we meditate.
We meditate in order to bring that happiness and fulfilment out into the world, for the more we meditate, the more our actions become infused with our true nature - happiness and fulfilment.
