Staying Grounded When The Ground Keeps Moving

I heard Esther Perel use this saying on a podcast recently. It summed up the challenges of the past two years so well.

The solution is much more simple than you might think, provided we can access the quieter states of the mind and step beyond the thinking processes.

When we sit to do our Vedic meditation practice, we use a mantra, or ‘mind vehicle’, that, when used in a specific way, triggers the mind to decrease its level of excitation. When the mind rests, the body follows and we experiences a profound level of restfulness.

When this restfulness is experienced, stress is removed from the body, allowing for a restoration of balance and alignment in body and mind, something which is distorted with the accumulation of stress. Being in balance and alignment with less stress in the physiology allows us to adjust and adapt regardless of the situation with greater ease and less friction.

We continue our twice a day Vedic Meditation practice, so if the ground keeps moving, we stay grounded and balanced.

Wishing everyone well over the new year period. Get some good rest, and stay grounded.
